I’m excited to announce that KS has been approved to provide services in Lancaster County! I am now accepting clients who would like to receive Community Participation Support (CPS).
What is CPS? CPS is a services focused on helping individuals with Intellectual Disabilities get involved in their local community.
What could CPS look like for the Indvidual I care for? The plan is developed around the needs and interests of the individual, and there are a lot of options! essentially any activity in the community can qualify, for example: we can go and volunteer at a local animal shelter, join a bowling league, spend time at local coffee shops or libraries, and more. The service is built around the needs and interests of the individual!
What does the schedule look like? Just like the services themselves the schedule is built around what makes sense for the individual. In general, there would be a weekly schedule, once or several times a week, on weekdays, for up to 7 hours, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
When? I’m looking to start services in the new year, 2023!
